Update time!
We got to come home for a few days for the holidays! I was so excited when my boss had told me to go home last Saturday after work. Got in the car right after packing a few things, no sleep, just drove!
We made it in TN around 9:30 am Sunday.
Sunday, we went to Jason's mothers house for Christmas. It was so nice to see everyone. We played a Christmas gift game where we all drew numbers and you got the gift with the number you drew. I
got a picture frame that had multiple spots for photos. Which is great-- I plan on filling it up with NJ photos to hang in memory of this journey.
We left after about 2 hours of being there due to Jason having to take his father to the hospital. His father suffers from cancer and was in a lot of pain. Unfortunately the hospital that they went to was unhelpful after him waiting there for 8 hours. The Dr discharged him and they took him home. We were very upset on how they treated him there. I really don't understand......
We got some sleep that night and then did a few errands the next day. Also went to my mom's house on Christmas eve to open presents and hang out because we thought we would have to come back to NJ on Christmas day. (Our boss told us to stay another day and just be back Thursday when we told him what was going on with Jason's father. We were thankful)
On Christmas day we went to Jason's aunt's house and had another Christmas. Jason's grandmother drew my name for a present and gifted me one of my favorite perfumes - Juicy Couture!!
We had a great time spending the holiday with our families. I really miss them all already!
The drive home was awful. We left out Wednesday around 5am; normally would be a 16ish hour drive, so we expected to be in NJ around 8 or 9pm...well that didn't happen.
There were several accidents in VA that stopped us as well as snowy weather.
We arrived in NJ around 4am. Oh goodness it was rough.
Next time, we vowed, would stop midway and rest for the night.
Promise you that!

Week two
Was hoping to get this updated earlier this week, but no wifi for my laptop! :(
We are all moved into the townhouse and let me tell ya-- it's been interesting.
We were under the impression that the room mate would only be here two times a week, and his girlfriend would be here during the day to study... Isn't happening like that! At all! Last Sunday we were woke up from the sound of a door bell-- his girlfriend and him trying to get in. (We chain locked the door) Ever since that night-- they've been here. Every single day!
I contacted the lady who were renting from and she is upset that basically our room mate lied to her. She says she will fix this... So we will see. She is planning to stop by Tuesday.
Anywho.. All week was work work work!
Today Jason and I stopped at a flea market in Englishtown, NJ.
SWOON! Found some great steals:)
We got there a little late apparently because after walking around for 2 hours they started packing up around 3pm. Hopefully returning back soon.
I found some DVDs and an AWESOME metal mailbox for $2 that is a coin bank. Although it'll probably serve as decoration
Back home:)
I'm expecting a package in the mail from my mom. She's sending me the mail and a few other things that were forgotten. Really hope it finds its way here Monday.
I sure do miss Tennessee.

And It Begins..
12.7.2012
_________
A new adventure started just a week ago; word was received that Jason and I were leaving our beloved home in Tennessee to drive to New Jersey. Jason had landed a position for a warehouse manager for a company that was in the making in California. They wanted to make sure he was ready for this by training in NJ for 3 months in a company they already have operational. Also, I was offered a job where I will be routing trucks and printing out orders that needs to be shipped for this same company. We basically had 2 days to get packed, fill our car up with a full tank of gas, and get things in order for a 16 hour drive. I had never really traveled out of the south, so this was HUGE news to me. I honestly didn't know what to expect ( Honestly I still don't!).
We left out Sunday morning around 4:00 am and spent the whole day taking turns driving. Whew- I didnt think Virginia was gonna end...what a LONG & boring drive! We made it to Hagerville, Maryland around 6-7pm that night and stayed in a very nice and clean hotel. Ordered Chinese food-- yum! and passed out! hehe. We got up bright and early and headed out to our destination: Edison, NJ. It took around 3 1/2 hours to arrive to the warehouse. I gotta tell ya... NJ traffic is NO JOKE. Wow...
If you miss ONE exit/turn...you are screwed and it takes like 15 minutes extra to get to the right direction you need to be going! Blah.
We made it to the warehouse and met up with the main boss.
He wanted to make sure we had a nice place to stay while here, so he gave us a few addresses to check out in the area. Basically, we are were just looking for a simple furnished small apartment to stay for the short time we were told.
No sense in paying $100/night for a hotel or sign a lease for an apartment with no furniture. Until then, we are staying in a hotel that has a small kitchen. Its pretty cramped here and the "neighbors" are so loud. So.... long story short, we found a place about 15 minutes away from work in a cute 2 bedroom town house that is furnished. We will have a roommate, but apparently he will only be there 2 days a week. We will officially "move in" Sunday. Im pretty excited to get out of this hotel.
The only exciting thing we have done so far is eat at a place we had heard about via instagram, called Brooklyn Boys. Its a deli/pizza place. Pretty good food, a little expensive, but not too bad for something to try out once. Im currently trying to compile a list of places Id like to visit while up here. So if you have any suggestions-- please help! Ill post a separate page and cross them off the "bucket list" ! :)
Posting some pictures of the travel , Enjoy! :)
